HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR BMI.....Weight yourself first thing in the morning on an empty stomach or at least a couple of hours after food.Wear minimal clothing and make sure your shoes are off.Weight fluctuates from day to day and in women it varies throughout the hormonal cycle,so these factors should be taken into account.
To calculate your BMI take your height in meters and square it(multiply the figure by yourself)measure your weight in kilometers and divide by your height squared.For example,if you're 1.6m(5ft3inches)tall and weight 65kg,the calculation will be:1.6 X 1.6=2.56
65 ÷ 2.56=25.39.In this example,the person has a BMI of 25.39,so she's overweight,but not by much.A BMI of 18.5-25 is normal,25 to 30 is overweight,30 to 40 is severely obese.A BMI of less than 18.5 is officially classed as underweight.
