HOW MANY CALORIES DO I NEED?........

HE GIVES STRENGTH TO THE WEARY AND STRENGTHENS THE POWERLESS.(ISAIAH40:29)

Your calorie needs are unique to you and depend on a number of factors........

A....Your age(cont. from yesterday's post)..One of the reasons for the reduced need is that an aging body replaces muscle with fat, which(unfortunately)burns fewer calories than muscle does.Yet staying active and doing muscle-strengthening exercises keeps muscle mass intact.

Your sex.......An adult man has less body-fat and about 10 to 20 percent more muscle than a woman of the same size and age.Because muscle burns more calories than fat does,a man's muscle needs are generally about 5 to 10 percent higher than a woman's

REMEMBER....The exception for women is during pregnancy and breast feeding.During these times in your life, you should not cut calories. In fact, you need to eat more calories-an extra 300 calories a day while pregnant and an extra 500 a day when breast feeding..

NOTE.......FOOD OUGHT TO BE A REFRESHMENT TO THE BODY,AND NOT A BURDEN.
