Whole grain foods turn sugar more slowly than refined grains and are therefore a much better choice because they won't trigger the extreme roller-coaster reaction.;plus you benefit from the fiber.But the fact is that all grains turn to sugar and elevate the glucose levels in your blood for considerable chunks of time.All grains eaten in excess will therefore cause you to turn their energy into fat.The effects can be serious;If you keep the noise level high by consuming lots of grain,starches,and other sugars,you will become deaf to the hormone signals that want to keep you vital and slim.White is worse!When in doubt,if it's made from white-white flour,white rice,white sugar-make a different choice.Give up buying foods made from white flour.It is devoid of nutrients,and the additives in it can cause deficiencies.
